Dan Oren, MD, associate professor (adjunct) of psychiatry, has been selected as a recipient of a Fulbright scholarship to Poland. Oren will spend the 2014-15 academic year as a visiting professor at the University of Rzeszów.
Oren's research examines the mechanism by which light has its antidepressant effects in individuals diagnosed with Seasonal Affective Disorder.
The general objective of the Polish Fulbright Commission is to conduct educational and cultural exchanges between Poland and the United States. Through its various exchange programs, the Commission supports studies, research, instruction, and other educational activities of American and Polish educators, scholars, and institutions.
