Yale Interventional Psychiatry (IPS) Service combines clinical and research advances of the recent decades, offering hope to patients and their families. Interventional psychiatry is an emerging subspecialty that uses advanced modalities and procedures to treat patients who have been resistant to commonly used treatments. Interventional psychiatrists need advanced psychiatric, medical and technical knowledge expertise to be able to provide safe and effective treatment to this patient population.
