Dr. Conroy graduated from Dartmouth College and Dartmouth-Brown Medical School. She completed residency in the Brown Department of Psychiatry, where she served as Chief Resident. She completed her Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship training at Beth Israel Hospital, Albert Einstein School of Medicine. Dr. Conroy is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Yale University School of Medicine, where she also serves as the Associate Director of the Geriatric Psychiatry fellowship program.
Dr. Conroy provides outpatient clinical care in Geriatric Psychiatry and Integrated Mental Health-Primary Care in the VA CT Healthcare System in West Haven, CT. Her expertise is in complex neuropsychiatric illness and cognitive disorders, as well as in the interface of psychiatry and medical illness. She is also the chair of the VA CT Dementia Committee.
Dr. Conroy is actively involved in the supervision and education of Yale Geriatric Psychiatry and Medicine fellows, psychiatry residents, medical students, and teaches didactic courses for fellows, physician assistant students and Neuropsychology interns. On a national level, Dr. Conroy chairs the American Association of Geriatric Psychiatry's (AAGP) Scholars program and is a member of the AAGP Teaching and Training Committee.
Dr. Conroy is board certified in General and Geriatric Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Her research interests focus primarily on the recruitment of trainees into Geriatric Psychiatry. In 2014, Dr. Conroy received the American Psychiatric Association’s Hartford Jeste Award for Future Leaders in Geriatric Psychiatry.
