Robinson honored by North American Society for the Study of Personality Disorders

April 23, 2018

Erica Robinson, MD, a second-year resident in the Yale Department of Psychiatry, was honored for presenting the best poster at the annual conference of the North American Society for the Study of Personality Disorders (NASSPD).

The conference was held April 13-14 in New York. Robinson presented work from her Clinical and Academic Skills Enhancement (CASE) project for second-year residents in the Yale Psychiatry Residency Program. She developed and implemented a peer-led curriculum for first-year psychiatry residents on borderline personality disorder (BPD).

The goal of the curriculum was to decrease stigma surrounding BPD by correcting misinformation and to offer skills that residents can use when they work with that population of patients. Robinson will present the poster at the American Psychiatric Association annual meeting in May.

NASSPD promotes research concerning personality disorders and informs clinicians, patients, and their family members about the latest information concerning personality disorders.
