Two fellows in the Yale Department of Psychiatry’s Addiction Psychiatry program received scholarships to attend the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Annual Conference April 6-9, 2017, in New Orleans.
Kathleen Broad, MD, and Javier Ballester Gonzalez, MD, were awarded ASAM Ruth Fox Scholarships.
The scholarship program encourages physicians-in-training to pursue careers in addiction medicine. Scholarships pay for travel and accommodations during the annual conference, and registration fees.
ASAM is a professional society that represents over 4,300 physicians, clinicians, and associated professionals in the field of addiction medicine.
