YNHH Behavioral Health Services among top hospitals nationally for psychiatry

August 04, 2016

Yale-New Haven Hospital Behavioral Health Services is again ranked among the top hospitals for psychiatry in U.S. News & World Report's Best Hospitals rankings.

YNHH placed tenth among adult psychiatry hospitals to maintain its long presence in the national rankings.

The Yale Department of Psychiatry has long enjoyed a presence on best-of lists. In 2014, the department's residency was rated among the top three programs in the country according to the first ranking of medical training programs conducted by the physician network Doximity, in collaboration with U.S. News & World Report.

In 2015, the department again received more funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) than any other U.S. medical school for psychiatric research. Yale faculty and affiliates in 2015 were given $60.49 million in NIH grants, according to a report by the Blue Ridge Institute for Medical Research.
