Okani Selected for AACAP Educational Outreach Program for General Psychiatry Residents

Chidinma Okani, MD, a third-year resident in the Yale Department of Psychiatry, has been selected by the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) to participate in its Educational Outreach Program for General Psychiatry Residents.

The award provides the opportunity to receive a formal overview to the field of child and adolescent psychiatry and attend the virtual 68th AACAP Annual Meeting, October 18 – 30, 2021.

Earlier in 2021, Okani was chosen for the American Psychiatric Association (APA) Diversity Leadership Fellowship. In 2020, she was selected by the APA to be the Resident-Fellow Member Representative for Area 1 (New England and Eastern Canada).
