Fortunati appointed Medical Director for Yale-New Haven Psychiatric Hospital

The Yale School of Medicine and Yale-New Haven Hospital are pleased to announce the formal appointment of Frank Fortunati, MD, JD, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, as the new Medical Director for Yale-New Haven (YNHH) Psychiatric Hospital and Associate Chief of Psychiatry for Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Fortunati received his JD from Rutgers University and his MD from New Jersey Medical School. He completed psychiatry residency and fellowships in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Forensic Psychiatry at the Yale University School of Medicine. Fortunati has been serving in an interim capacity for over two years. “We are thrilled to conclude our very competitive national search with the appointment of Dr. Fortunati, someone who we know, respect, and rely on as a psychiatrist and a leader,” said John Krystal, MD, Chair of Yale Psychiatry and Chief of YNHH Psychiatry.
