Racial Equity in Fertility Care: "Legal and Clinical Perspectives"

Please join us for the second event in our series exploring racial disparities in medicine. This panel will center on legal and historical perspectives on racial equity in fertility care. All are welcome!

Panelists:

Michele Bratcher Goodwin is a Chancellor’s Professor and founding director of the Center for Biotechnology and Global Health Policy at the University of California, Irvine. She is an acclaimed bioethicist, constitutional law scholar, and prolific author. Professor Goodwin directed the first ABA-accredited health law program in the nation and established the first law center focused on race and bioethics.

Tarun Jain, MD is an Associate Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine & Medical Director of Fertility & Reproductive Medicine-West Region. Dr. Jain is actively involved on the Executive Council of the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART) as Clinical Director and is a Section Editor of Reproductive Biology & Endocrinology Journal.

Michael A. Thomas, MD is Professor and Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Dr. Thomas is nationally recognized as a leader in the field of assisted reproduction and contraceptive research. He has over 100 scientific publications and book chapters. Dr. Thomas serves on national committees and boards including the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (current Vice President).
