This presentation addresses the intersectionality of race and gender, addressing the social, cultural, and systemic factors influencing the alcohol use, misuse and recovery of Black girls, women, and gender-expansive people. Through a nuanced lens, the goal is to enhance understanding, promote awareness, and foster culturally competent approaches in alcohol research, prevention and interventions for the well-being of the Black community and people of color.
