All of the clinical training sites are represented on the Graduate Education Committee (GEC), which is responsible for setting policy for the Psychiatry Residency Education program.

Education is a critical element of the mission of the Yale Department of Psychiatry. We offer undergraduate and graduate medical education programs as well as training opportunities in psychology and research. We hope you’ll consider furthering your education here at Yale!

Welcome to the Department of Psychiatry! Our residents, fellows, and faculty are committed to excellence and innovation in student education. The Department of Psychiatry participates in all four years of the medical school curriculum.
A wide variety of clinical electives, journal clubs, and elective courses are taught by faculty passionate about their field of interest. Many are open to the entire Department of Psychiatry community.
