Collaborate with Us
The Yale Center for the Science of Cannabis and Cannabinoids is committed to advancing a comprehensive, scientific understanding of cannabis and its derivatives through rigorous, multidisciplinary research. As cannabis use expands across the U.S. and globally—whether for medical, recreational, or therapeutic purposes—there remains a significant gap in evidence-based knowledge around its effects on the brain, behavior, and physical health. Our mission is to fill that gap through innovative studies that span basic neuroscience, clinical research, public health, and policy.
Housed within one of the world’s leading academic medical institutions, the Center is uniquely positioned to bring together experts in psychiatry, pharmacology, epidemiology, neuroscience, and behavioral science. Our research addresses urgent questions about cannabis and cannabinoids—such as their impact on pain management, cognition, psychosis, and addiction—while also exploring their therapeutic potential across a range of conditions. Through clinical trials, laboratory studies, and community-based research, we aim to generate the high-quality data necessary to inform clinical practice, guide public policy, and protect public health.
But we know that solving complex challenges requires collaboration. We invite academic investigators, clinicians, foundations, donors, and industry leaders to engage with the Center and contribute to this rapidly evolving field. Whether by partnering on research, contributing ideas, or providing philanthropic support, your involvement can help accelerate meaningful progress. We especially welcome innovative proposals and funding partnerships that align with our mission and values.
Your support can empower breakthrough discoveries, support the next generation of cannabis scientists, and ensure that decision-makers—from physicians to policymakers—have the evidence they need to act responsibly. This is a unique moment in history: as society navigates the promises and pitfalls of cannabis, we have the opportunity to lead with science.
Join us in shaping the future of cannabinoid research. Reach out, collaborate, and help us move the field forward—together.
