Welcome to the Department of Psychiatry! Our residents, fellows, and faculty are committed to excellence and innovation in student education. The Department of Psychiatry participates in all four years of the medical school curriculum.

First and Second Year Pre-Clinical Studies

Medical students are introduced to psychiatry in the first and second year, in the classroom and beyond.

Psychiatry Clerkship

The Biopsychosocial Approach to the Patient (BAH) is a 12-week integrated clerkship block comprised of Psychiatry and Primary Care.

Fourth Year Psychiatry Electives

In the fourth year, we offer many clinical electives. These clinical electives are open to visiting US or international students.

PA Student Clerkship

The four-week psychiatry clerkship includes clinical experience in a setting of inpatient psychiatric care, supplemented by a rich didactic curriculum and individualized student tutoring.
