Yale Psychiatry Residency

Our residents have chosen Yale for many reasons - among them our outstanding clinical and academic programs, our engaging and dedicated body of residents, and the ability to have impactful input into your own education plan over the course of your training.

We continue to maintain a long tradition of strong clinical and research programs in the biological, psychological, and social determinants of mental health. Each of these models is represented in the core didactic curriculum to enable you to have the knowledge necessary to provide your patients with the best treatment available.

In recognition of the challenging nature of our work as healthcare providers, the Yale Psychiatry Wellness Initiative seeks to provide opportunities to residents, faculty, and staff that will promote physical and mental health and wellness, as well as foster an increased sense of community within the residency and department.

We are delighted that you will be joining the Residency Program this summer. We are busy preparing for your arrival and want to do everything we can to make the transition to New Haven and the residency as smooth as possible.
