Charles M. Radding, MD, Distinguished Geneticist, Dies at 90
Charles M. Radding, MD, professor emeritus of genetics, passed away on October 20, 2020. Dr. Radding was an outstanding scientist and a member of the National Academy of Sciences. He dedicated his life to the study of DNA recombination.

Gerhard Giebisch, MD, Sterling Professor Emeritus of Cellular and Molecular Physiology at Yale School of Medicine, died peacefully at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford, Connecticut on Monday, April 6, 2020. He was 93 years old.
Katherine "Kitty" Halloran, MD '54, Dies at 90
Katherine "Kitty" Halloran, MD '54, was one of just three female members of her Yale School of Medicine graduating class, and she later returned to the medical school for 20 years as a research physician and assistant professor. She has died at age 90.
Nobel Laureate Thomas A. Steitz Dies, Mapped the Structure of the Ribosome
Thomas A. Steitz, Sterling Professor of Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry at Yale and one of three winners of the 2009 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, died Oct. 9 at his home in Stony Creek after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Steitz was 78.
In Memoriam: W. Leonard Hill, Jr.
W. Leonard Hill, Jr., LCSW, BCD, of North Haven, Connecticut, died suddenly at home on Wednesday, February 18, 2015, of cardiac arrest. He was 68 years old. He retired in 2014 from a long career in social work and psychiatry as a clinician, administrator, teacher, and mentor at Yale University, Smith College School for Social Work, and Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Yale University will hold a memorial service for Sidney J. Blatt, Ph.D. who died on May 11, 2014. The service will be held on Sunday, November 16th beginning at 1:30 pm with a reception to follow immediately thereafter. The memorial will take place at the Joseph Slifka Center for Jewish Life at Yale.
