Global Health
Global health focuses on the use of science and advocacy to improve the well-being of populations around the world. Health systems in developing and developed countries confront a range of significant challenges, highlighting an urgent need to address the pressing health concerns of underserved patients and communities.
Our transformative initiatives improve the health and well-being of people affected by health disparities, particularly for the most vulnerable populations. Our novel programs address the most pressing issues in global health, including the acceleration of pandemic infectious diseases; increases in chronic diseases such as diabetes, obesity, and mental illnesses; planetary health; and inefficient health systems.
With its position at the front lines of the global health response, Yale is committed to helping solve the systemic issues affecting health systems and improve the treatment of chronic and infectious diseases that impact so many disadvantaged communities around the world.
