Global Health Council Expands its Reach

August 21, 2020

The Global Health Council is a group of Yale School of Medicine (YSM) global health faculty and trainees that meets monthly. The Council is run out of the Office of Global Health Education. The Council began convening five years to allow global health faculty at YSM the opportunity to connect with one another. The conversations center on best practices for global health programs, establishing and building partnerships with institutions globally, and sharing of on-going educational activities. Most recently, the group has grown to include faculty from the Yale Schools of Nursing and Public Health.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, faculty have utilized the group for weekly calls to share updates and pose questions in an attempt to find recommendations and solutions to support their colleagues in other parts of the world, particularly sub-Saharan Africa.
