FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)

2024-25 FAFSA should be available to complete in December 31, 2023

All students who are US Citizens or Eligible Non-Citizens applying for federal financial aid must complete the FAFSA.

To submit your FAFSA, you will need an FSA ID, which serves as your identifier and lets you access your personal information in various Federal Student Aid sites. See this website for more information.

Tips for Completing the FAFSA

  • Complete everything. Do not leave any line blank.
  • If you are an eligible non-citizen, list your Alien Registration Number (which can be found on your green card).
  • Have a Social Security number.
  • Provide all income, earnings, benefits and asset information.
  • Complete your 2022 Federal Tax Return prior to completing the FAFSA
  • Provide consent to use IRS for Federal Tax Information when completing the FAFSA
