Research Summary
My research program includes clinical, interventional and observational studies in patients, as well as mechanistic studies in animal models and human tissue, with the overarching goal of better understanding the epidemiology, risk factors, mechanisms, treatment, and prognosis of systemic sclerosis (SSc). A major goal of my research is to combine patient-reported data with high-throughput approaches, including imaging modalities, to understand SSc heterogeneity and identify the deregulated molecular programs that underlie disease and its various organ-based complications.
