Yale Medical Group (YMG) in December launched a website that offers access to 90 specialists in clinical care and scientific research to journalists on deadline. The scientists on this website represent some of the nearly 800 members of YMG who treat patients, teach, and conduct research at Yale.
The website, opa.yale.edu/experts, can also be accessed through the Office of Public Affairs, opa.yale.edu, by clicking on the link “For The Media: Find a Medical Expert.”
The site contains more than 50 categories of experts, with photos, profiles, and video clips of the experts and a link to their contact information. Instructions are also available for setting up remote television or radio interviews with the Yale experts. (Yale University maintains a professional radio and television broadcast studio in New Haven with full satellite transmission capability.)
