Biography

Cesar was born in Medellin, Colombia, where he studied Medicine at the University of Antioquia. During medical school, he was member of the Clinical Epidemiology Academic Group, participating on several sepsis-related observational studies. After obtaining his MD degree in 2017, Cesar worked in a rural emergency department for nearly a year, where he faced diverse clinical and public health challenges that motivated him to investigate on health care access and quality of care. Additionally, in 2018 he graduated from the Harvard Medical School Global Clinical Scholars Research Training Program. As an aspiring cardiologist, Cesar research interests are patient-centered outcomes and quality of care in cardiovascular diseases.
