Yale School of Medicine and its clinical provider, Yale Medicine, take center stage in a display in Times Square

Yale School of Medicine and Yale Medicine are making their debut on Broadway. Since July 1, and running through July 8, the Nasdaq building in the heart of Times Square is displaying a rotating electronic ad recognizing the medical school and its clinical service as “World Leaders” in research and clinical care in neuroscience, cancer, cardiovascular health, inflammation science, metabolic health, genetics, women’s health, orthopaedics, children’s health, and biomedical engineering.

In bright lights at the intersection where Broadway, 42nd Street, and Seventh Avenue meet are photos of five members of Yale’s medical faculty, chosen to represent the tripartite mission of the Yale School of Medicine, a range of departments, and the school’s diverse faculty.

The 15-second message rotating through the various specialties appears four times each hour, 20 hours per day. Yale medical education, research, and clinical care, which already are well known and appreciated in and near Connecticut, will make an estimated 1.5 million daily impressions both on New Yorkers and on visitors to Times Square from throughout the world during one of the summer’s peak weeks.
