Gianfilippo Coppola, PhD, is interested in computational and systems biology.
Dr Coppola gained his undergraduate degree from the Department of Chemical Engineering at Universita' di Napoli "Federico II" in Italy, and his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Yale University. Gianfilippo was appointed as Assistant Professor in the Yale Child Study Center and Department of Psychiatry in July 2016.
Gianfilippo is the recent recipient of a NARSAD Young Investigator Grant to study transcriptional dis-regulation in Autism and a CT Regenerative Medicine Research Fund (RMRF) award to develop a ‘brain-on-chip’ system for disease modelling and drug discovery.
Dr. Coppola is a member of the PsychENCODE and Brain Somatic Mosaicism Consortia.
