Biography
Lawrence Staib received his A.B in Physics from Cornell University and his Ph.D. in Engineering and Applied Science from Yale University. He is now Professor of Radiology & Biomedical Imaging, Biomedical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering at Yale. He is a member of the editorial board of Medical Image Analysis and Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering. He is a Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering. He was elected to the Council of Distinguished Investigators of the Academy for Radiology & Biomedical Imaging Research. His research interests are in the development of methods for medical image analysis with applications in cancer, neuroimaging, and cardiology using machine learning and model-based approaches.
