Dr Assi's scientific research focuses around the understanding of the pathogenesis and genetics of thoracic aortic disease, in particular aortic aneurysm, dissection, and penetrating ulcers. His research laboratory is part of the prestigious Vascular Biology and Therapeutics program at Yale University.
