Biography
Research Summary
My goal is to provide a platform to diagnose patients with serious bacterial infections prior to organ damage and to risk stratify those who are sick. This is accomplished through Emergency Department screening protocols and with biomarkers. My research interest is in the role of Thymosin Beta 4 and Actin proteins in the pathogenesis of sepsis.
As the Yale site principal investigator for the clinical trial VICTAS, a multicentered study comparing the efficacy of Vitamin C, Thiamine, and Hydrocortisone in patients with septic shock, it is my hope to bring new treatments to those patients suffering with serious infections.
