Biography
My Ph.D. research focused on algorithm development and data processing in cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM). In the Liu lab at Yale, I am now applying cryo-EM to investigate how bacterial pathogens invade mammalian hosts. My project aims to resolve the high-resolution in-situ structure of bacterial secretion systems, specifically type III (T3SS). Results of this work will reveal how bacteria secrete proteins across the host phospholipid membranes to achieve infection.
