Biography

Samantha is a dedicated healthcare advocate with a strong foundation in both clinical research and trauma-informed care. Her journey began with a deep curiosity about the complexities of human experiences, which evolved into a commitment to bridging the gap between clinical knowledge and compassionate, holistic care.

Throughout her career, she has worked in various settings, including research labs, emergency medical services, and maternity care, where she has honed skills in patient support and advocacy. Her role as a house manager for a maternity home in Phoenix, AZ, challenged her to provide comprehensive care for underserved women and their babies, pushing her to confront and address the systemic issues affecting their lives.

She has applied her clinical expertise and empathy in roles such as a research assistant, where she focused on improving care for pregnant women with opiate use disorder. Her work involved collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to enhance provider education and patient communication, ensuring that care was both effective and compassionate.

Driven by a passion for humanizing healthcare, she advocates for changes in clinical policy and provider training, aiming to make medical care more accessible and empathetic. Her approach blends scientific understanding with a deep appreciation for the personal and emotional aspects of patient care, fostering an environment where every individual is seen and supported.
