Soumya Yandamuri

Biography

Soumya Yandamuri, MSE, PhD, is a National Multiple Sclerosis Society and Yale Center for Clinical Investigation Postdoctoral Fellow in Dr. Kevin O’Connor’s laboratory, where she researches neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) and myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody disease (MOGAD). She completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Michigan and subsequently conducted her doctoral studies as a NIH Ruth L. Kirschstein Predoctoral NRSA Fellow at the University of Utah, where she researched a coronavirus-based model of multiple sclerosis. Dr. Yandamuri has trained in immunology, neurobiology, advanced imaging, and molecular biology and has previously worked in industry.
