Biography

MD, Child and Adolescent Neuropsychiatry at Meyer Children's Hospital, Florence. Trained in diagnosis, assessment, and intervention in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in international High Specialization Units (IRCCS Italy, Hospital Mútua Terrassa Spain). Psychotherapist focused on the treatment of children, adolescents, and their families, with psychodynamic and psychoanalytic orientation. She has received training in Sandplay Therapy at the A.I.S.P.T. School (Rome). She is an MBT-C practitioner and is certified MBT-F and A by Ana Freud Center (London). She is currently a doctoral candidate at the Ramon Lull University (Barcelona) and a Postgraduate Fellow at the Yale Child Study Center. Her research focuses on the application of the modified MBT-C technique in ASD children and on the theoretical and neurobiological foundations for the generalisation of dyadic social learning. She is also interested in psychodynamic psychopharmacology and in the application of qualitative and quantitative mixed methods approach.She participates in national and international scientific and academic activities, with her own publications and papers. She has led a specific ASD treatment program in Barcelona based on MBT-C. She currently works in private practice (Imagina Center) and in the public system.
