Emily Peterson, BA, MPH candidate, is an Elevate Fellow for Fall 2019 and Spring 2020. She is a Master of Public Health student at the Yale School of Public Health, concentrating in health policy. Emily is focusing on how wealth inequality impacts health outcomes and how decreasing inequality can improve health. Emily previously worked at The American Red Cross, The Gathering Place in Denver (a daytime shelter for women, their children, and transgender individuals), and Boulder County CareConnect. In Summer 2019, she interned with the United Nations Office of the High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States. Emily received her undergraduate degree from Brandeis University as an Anthropology and International Studies major with a minor in Politics.
