Yale Medical Group extends a warm welcome to the physicians of Cardiology Associates of New Haven, PC, in New Haven, who have accepted full-time faculty positions in cardiology. They are now members of Yale Cardiovascular Medicine and will treat patients at Yale-New Haven Hospital Heart and Vascular Center facilities in North Haven, Guilford, Orange and Westbrook; in addition to continuing to provide care at both campuses of Yale-New Haven Hospital. The practice also includes two physician assistants, H. Ainsley Highman, PA-C and Seth Leventhal, PA-C.
Vincent DiCola, MD, is board-certified in cardiovascular diseases and internal medicine, and by the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners as a cardiac device specialist. Dr. DiCola has interests in interventional cardiology, stent implantation, cardiac pacemaker implantation, cardiac arrhythmias and stress testing. He completed his medical degree and residency at Yale School of Medicine, and obtained his fellowship in cardiology (pacemaker and interventional), at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School.
Lisa Freed, MD, serves as the director of Yale-New Haven Hospital’s Women’s Heart and Vascular Program, and has been an avid advocate in women and heart disease. She is board-certified in cardiology and echocardiography. Her other clinical interests include atrial fibrillation, congestive heart failure, coronary artery disease, echocardiography, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, microvascular disease/Syndrome X, mitral valve prolapse and valvular heart disease. Dr. Freed completed her medical degree at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, followed by her residency at New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center. She obtained a cardiology fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, where she also performed research at the Framingham Heart Study.
Jaime Gerber, MD, is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and nuclear cardiology. He has clinical interests in preventive cardiology, anticoagulation management, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, vascular imaging, aortic disease and congestive heart failure. Dr Gerber is an active participant in training and mentoring young physicians from St Petersburg, Russia. As a member of the board of directors of the Almazov Foundation he helps oversee the direction of the training program and integration with Yale New Haven Hospital. He completed his medical degree, residency, and fellowship in cardiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center.
Eric Grubman, MD, is board-certified in cardiovascular medicine and clinical cardiac electrophysiology. His clinical interests include atrial fibrillation, biventricular defibrillators, biventricular pacemakers, cardiac ablation, cardiac arrhythmias, defibrillators, fainting, pacemakers, syncope and tachycardia. Dr. Grubman completed his medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Mount Sinai Hospital, where he also served as chief resident. He obtained fellowships in cardiovascular medicine, and cardiac pacing and electrophysiology at Perelman School of Medicine at University of Pennsylvania.
Glen Henry, MD, medical director of Yale Cardiology Associates in North Haven, is board certified in cardiovascular disease, internal medicine and interventional cardiology. He has clinical interests in hemodynamics and interventional cardiology. Dr. Henry completed his medical degree at Medical College of Virginia, followed by his residency and a fellowship in cardiology/interventional cardiology/echocardiography at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
Douglas Israel, MD, is board-certified in both internal and cardiovascular medicine. He has clinical interests in interventional cardiology, general cardiology and human nutrition. Dr. Israel completed his medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine, and his residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center, where he also obtained fellowships in cardiology and interventional cardiology.
Steven Jacoby, MD, is board-certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine. He has clinical interests in congestive heart failure, coronary artery disease, echocardiography, general cardiology, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, stress testing and valvular heart disease. Dr. Jacoby completed his medical degree at Harvard University School of Medicine, followed by his residency and a fellowship in cardiology and catheterization at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Nathan Kruger, MD, is board-certified in adult echocardiography, cardiovascular disease, internal medicine and nuclear cardiology. He has clinical interests in advanced heart failure management, congestive heart failure, coronary artery disease prevention; dyslipidemia and valvular heart disease. Dr. Kruger completed his medical degree at New York Medical College and his residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He obtained fellowships in cardiovascular medicine at Yale School of Medicine and internal medicine from Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Christopher Loscalzo, MD, is board-certified in cardiovascular medicine and internal medicine. His clinical interests include carotid ultrasound, echocardiography, exercise stress testing, and diagnosis and treatment of all cardiovascular conditions. Dr. Loscalzo completed his medical degree at New York Medical College, his residency at Montefiore Hospital and Medical Center, and his fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center.
Sandip Mukherjee, MD, is the cardiac director of the Aortic Institute at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He has interests in consultative cardiology, preventive cardiology, diseases of the aorta, clinical research and echocardiography. Dr. Mukherjee completed his medical degree at Texas Tech University, and was a medical resident, chief medical resident and cardiovascular fellow at Yale School of Medicine. He has served as a primary investigator in more than 20 clinical trials and is a former vice president of the South Asian Society of Atherosclerosis and Thrombosis. He is a senior editor of the journal Aorta, as well as the author of several book chapters and contributing editor for UpToDate, and on the editorial committee of The Medical Letter. Dr. Mukherjee is a Pearson Fellow at Yale University.
Stephen Possick, MD, is board-certified in cardiovascular disease and has clinical interests in general cardiology, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and cardiac implications of liver disease. Dr. Possick attended Mount Sinai School of Medicine and completed his residency, chief residency, and cardiology fellowship at Yale School of Medicine.
Daniel Price, MD, is board-certified in cardiovascular disease. He has clinical interests in general and preventive cardiology, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. Dr. Price completed his medical degree at University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, followed by his residency at Brigham & Women’s Hospital, and a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at Boston University. He was an assistant professor of medicine at Boston University prior to joining the Yale community 12 years ago. Prior to joining Yale Medical Group, he was an assistant clinical professor of medicine at Yale School of Medicine. He is currently a medical director of Yale Cardiology Associates and a member of the Heart and Vascular Center Operations Leadership Committee.
Donald Rocklin, MD, is board-certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine. His clinical interests include adult cardiology including coronary artery disease, chest pain evaluation, congestive heart failure, shortness of breath, cardiomyopathy, valvular conditions, palpitation, basic arrhythmias, preventive cardiology, hypertension, lipid management, anti-coagulation, and legal medicine including cardiac disability evaluation and second opinions. Dr. Rocklin completed his medical degree at University of Maryland, followed by residencies at Tufts New England Medical Center and Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He obtained a fellowship in cardiology from the Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
Arthur O. Seltzer, MD, is board-certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine. He has clinical interests in cardio-oncology, clinical cardiology, heart failure, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, preventive cardiology, ischemic heart disease and valvular heart disease. Dr. Seltzer completed his medical degree at Perelman School of Medicine at University of Pennsylvania, followed by his residency and cardiology fellowship at Mount Sinai Medical Center.
Prescott Wiske, MD, is board-certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine. He has clinical interests in consultative cardiology, and non-invasive cardiac imaging, including echocardiography and nuclear cardiac imaging. Dr. Wiske completed his medical degree at Indiana University School of medicine and his residency at Indiana University Hospitals. He obtained fellowships in endocrinology and metabolism at Indiana University Hospitals, and cardiovascular disease at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard School of Medicine.
Steven Wolfson, MD, is board-certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine. His clinical interests include coronary artery disease and preventive medicine, and he has a long-standing interest in health care policy. Dr. Wolfson was a founding partner of Cardiovascular Associates of New Haven, P.C. Prior to that he served two years as a staff cardiologist at the Wilford Hall USAF Hospital, Lackland Air Force Base, in Texas, and seven as director of the cardiac catheterization laboratory at Yale-New Haven Hospital (YNHH). He is the former president of YNHH Medical Staff and current Councilor for the Connecticut State Medical Society. He completed his medical degree at New York University School of Medicine, followed by residencies at Downstate Medical Center and Massachusetts General Hospital. He obtained a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital.
