Biography

Paul Stockhammer is a first-year hematology / medical oncology fellow at the Smilow Cancer Center - Yale New Haven Hospital. He completed his internal medicine residency at the Yale School of Medicine in 2023. He obtained his MD/PhD degree from Medical University of Vienna, Austria, where he studied the role of transforming growth factor-ß in pleural mesothelioma and HDAC inhibitors in lung cancer. His current research in the Politi Lab focuses on oncogene-addicted lung cancer and drug resistance, investigating the relationship between oncogenic drivers (i.e. EGFR and HER2) and co-occurring genomic alterations.
