- Prospective Evaluation of Patient Satisfaction with Endoscopic Ultrasonography for Decision-MakingPurpose: Prospective data on patient satisfaction with endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS) for decision-making has not been reported. Studies have focused on the technique, tolerability, complications, and to some extent, effectiveness and outcomes. Therefore, we prospectively evaluated patient perception of the clinical impact of EUS and any correlation with clinical outcome. Methods: 289 consecutive patients (145 men, 144 women; mean age 62 years, range 19-92) who were to be evaluated with EUS were given educational materials about EUS.
