Josh’s primary research interests include investigating gender minority stress and resilience factors and how they interact with daily mood and emotion regulation experiences in trans and gender-diverse youth and young adults. Their current research examines how daily microaggression experiences and gender euphoric experiences affect mood and nonsuicidal self-injury in this population. Additionally, Josh is interested in research conceptualizing and refining the measurement of positive gender-based mood and affective experiences like gender euphoria, contentment, and joy.
