Research Summary
Dr. Hwang's research seeks to understand how obesity and diabetes impact the human brain particularly related to neuronal function and cognition. To do this, Dr. Hwang's group uses classic methods to investigate human physiology coupled with state of the art neuroimaging modalities such as functional magnetic resonance imaging and magnetic resonance spectroscopy.
