Research Summary

Dr. Franco is involved in clinical research to elucidate the mechanisms of incontinence in children and to find methods to predict incontinence episodes in children with new non invasive technologies.

measurement of urodynamic work utilizing a new software capable of separating work into different components (ongoing)

development of techniques capable of identifying bladder contractions in urodynamics utilizing machine learning and signal analysis (ongoing)

development of standardized and normalized uroflow patterns in children and adults utilizing machine learning (ongoing)

use of fMRI to identify areas of action in patients treated with electrical stimulation (ongoing)
