Research Summary

Dr. Arhuidese harnesses the granularity and power of small and large databases, artificial intelligence and machine learning to identify and address disparities in vascular surgery care. When executing population based studies, he pays particular attention to subgroups of patients who are often overlooked. These include patients with high-risk presentations, atypical anatomy, co-pathologies and under-represented minorities/emerging majorities. He adopts a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach to research, and he mentors trainees in medicine, public health, nursing and other disciplines along the path of surgery research and beyond.
