Research Summary
I am a general internist and health services researcher in the Section of General Internal Medicine. My research interests center on preventive services commonly used in primary care, with a focus on cancer screening. A core goal of my research is to understand the tradeoffs of screening, particularly for new technologies or in understudied populations such as older adults. My work uses large real-world data sets to understand technology adoption, costs, and screening outcomes. My goals are to develop better estimates of risks and benefits of screening that are accessible to patients and can be used at the point of care to inform decision-making.
