Postdoctoral Fellow

Research Summary

I have combined my training in biogeochemistry, environmental epidemiology, and exposure science to conduct research at the interface of human and environmental health. My doctoral research focused on the environmental and human health effects of unconventional oil and gas development on rural communities in Pennsylvania and Ohio. I utilized environmental measurements to assess and understand the utility of traditional spatial exposure surrogates for drinking water exposure and subsequently applied these metrics to examine the association between oil and gas exposure and cancer risk at the population level. My goal is to continue to conduct policy-relevant research that highlights impacts to underrepresented and vulnerable communities.
