Research Summary
As a chiropractor and clinician-scientist, Dr. Coleman's research has focused on pain (including acute and chronic pain), especially spinal pain. He conducts the majority of his research in the Veterans Health Administration, focusing on optimizing pain care delivered to U.S. military veterans. He collaborates as a member of the VA's National Chiropractic Program Office, the VA Health Services Research and Development Pain/Opioid Consortium of Research, and the NIH-DOD-VA Pain Management Collaboratory. His research has centered on the implementation and integration of nonpharmacological approaches to pain, including chiropractic care.
