Received his PhD in Life Science, has previously worked on role of platelets in venous thrombotic disorders and highlighted a novel role of calpain in high altitude induced thrombosis (Tyagi et al, Blood, 2014). Dr Tyagi is presently exploring the molecular basis of platelet mediated events in various pathophysiological states including lung carcinoma. He has studied human, rat and mice platelets using a range of classical as well as advanced methods.
