Biography
Dr. Sneha Karmani is currently a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Psychiatry at Yale University School of Medicine. She works at the STEP program and is the Early Detection and Assessment Coordinator (EDAC) for DMHAS region 4.
Dr. Karmani is a board-certified Psychiatrist from India with over 10 years of clinical experience and has worked with multi-disciplinary teams in both clinical and research settings. She has worked as a consultant psychiatrist in India and as an International Psychiatry Fellow in adult in-patient care in the NHS, UK. Dr. Karmani has worked in Yoga and Mental Health research at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences, India where she was part of several research projects and grants. She is also interested in neurobiological research in severe mental disorders and early intervention services. She is passionate about patient care and engagement and believes individuals need to be viewed holistically to have a real impact on their quality of life.
