Michael Donoghue is working with Chengdu Botanical Research Institute and the Kunming Botanical Research Institute to study the plant and fungal diversity of Henguan Mountain. The specific area of study is the intersection of the Sichuan, Yunan and Tibet provinces.
Professor Donoghue is engaged in collaborations with colleagues in Sweden and Belgium on the systematic study of angiosperms.
