Biography

Margaret I. Chustecki is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Yale School of Medicine. Born in Warsaw, Poland, and educated at Warsaw Medical School, she completed her internship and residency at Newton-Wellesley Hospital and New England Medical Center. While working at an outpatient office and hospitalist service, she joined the Yale faculty in the Section of General Internal Medicine.

Dr. Chustecki founded Internal Medicine of Greater New Haven in 2003. She completed Yale School of Management’s MBA program in 2009. This aided her in creating and leading a medical group and in organizing a medical management team to improve efficiency, performance and communication with patients and the public. She implemented a quality program that achieved NCQA accreditation in eligible markets, and also supported a quality infrastructure for additional programs, such as Meaningful Use and PQRS. In addition, she maintains a clinical practice within the group, resulting in a “hands on” experience with changes being made to the operations.
