Malvira Pecor

Malvira Pecor is clinical secretary for the Palliative Care Clinic at Smilow Cancer Hospital. Mal has extensive experience in the health care sector, where she has worked both in direct patient care and in clinical and administrative support. She worked for two decades as a certified nursing assistant and then as medical records secretary at New Haven Nursing Home. She then continued as medical secretary for local internal medicine groups in West Haven and Hamden before coming to Smilow in 2019. Since joining the Ambulatory Palliative Care team, she has played a key role in ensuring the efficiency of our busy and expanding clinic. Outside of work, Mal most appreciates time with her family, enjoying the beach and her garden whenever possible. She is also passionate about animals and would love to dedicate her time to animal rescue.
