Biography
Kamil W. Nowicki, MD, PhD is currently an endovascular fellow at Yale New Haven Hospital. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Florida with a degree in chemistry. He obtained his combined MD-PhD from the University of Florida College of Medicine in 2016. During medical school he served as the director for Equal Access Clinic, a free, mobile clinic for under-served population in Gainesville, FL. He graduated from neurosurgery residency at UPMC / University of Pittsburgh in 2023 where he completed 1yr of enfolded endovascular fellowship. During residency he was actively involved exploring the role of inflammatory cytokines in cerebral aneurysm formation. In 2019 he won the Best Basic Science Award - Cerebrovascular at CNS. He received 4 grant awards from the Brain Aneurysm Foundation, 3 awards from the Pittsburgh Foundation, and recently a pilot award funded by NIH UL01 mechanism. His work has resulted in several invention disclosures and patent applications.
