Biography

Julie Schmidt is the Program Coordinator for the Yale Multidisciplinary Pancreatic Cyst Clinic (MPaCC) and works closely with the Medical Director, Dr James Farrell. Possessing over 20 years of clinical experience, Julie began her career working as a registered nurse in Yale-New Haven Hospital’s Medical Intensive Care Unit where she cared for critically ill patients hospitalized with a variety of digestive health disorders. In addition, Julie possesses over 8 years of experience working in partnership with Yale’s Advanced Endoscopy physicians where she assisted in preparing patients to safely undergo advanced endoscopic procedures.

Throughout her career, Julie has witnessed how imperative proper screening and high-quality, preventative patient care are to achieving optimal patient outcomes. As program coordinator, she provides patients with detailed information regarding their pancreatic cyst and works closely with them to ensure they have the most comprehensive care and follow up. Julie maintains communication with the patients’ established healthcare provider team, while supporting patients as they navigate the next steps of their pancreatic surveillance or treatment.

Julie Schmidt, APRN is program coordinator for the multidisciplinary pancreatic cyst clinic, part of Yale Medicine Pancreatic Diseases Program.

As program coordinator, Julie provides patients with detailed information regarding their pancreatic cyst.
