Biography
I currently work as a Physician Assistant in the Survivorship Program at Smilow Cancer Hospital. I am a part of a multidisciplinary team that provides care for cancer survivors once they are progression free, and in many ways bridge the gap between cancer care and primary care. We are largely a consultative service, and help manage and advise on supportive care for late effects of cancer treatment, provide tools for living a healthy lifestyle to prevent recurrence, and aid in normalizing and providing coping strategies for fear of recurrence. It is crucial for patients to experience a high quality of life after diagnosis and treatment, whether that means a return to the routine or defining a new normal. I develop Survivorship care plans for each patient we see in clinic. I also occasionally work in the Center for Breast Cancer, helping to manage the care for patients with breast cancer.
