Biography
Dr. Cabrera finished his medical school at Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in Lima, Peru. He is a NIH Fogarty Clinical Research Fellow alumni with projects focused on HIV-associated chronic alterations on bone and musculoskeletal health (vertebral fracture, osteoporosis, and sarcopenia) among women aging with HIV in Peru. After his Fogarty year, he continued working on the Section of Rheumatology, Allergy and Immunology as a Postdoctoral fellow with studies related to the musculoskeletal outcomes after COVID-related hospitalization in elderly population among the Yale-New Haven Health System. He recently joined the Yale Waterbury Internal Medicine Residency Program as a medical resident. He is interested in Rheumatology and Global Heath.
